Needle Felting Classes

Learn how to needle-felt from an expert! Sr. Janet Weyker will lead you through the steps to make a three-dimensional item (gnomes, mushrooms, or snowmen) using colored wool and barbed needles. You will leave with a finished product as well as a barbed needle to use for your future creations. 

For participants ages 12 & up (children under 18 must attend with a participating adult).

Saturday, October 18 - 9:30-12:00pm - Needle Felting Gnomes

Saturday, November 8 - 9:30-12:00pm - Needle Felting Mushrooms

Saturday, December 6 - 9:30-12:00pm - Needle Felting Snowmen

Successfully Planting Garlic Workshop

Calling all gardeners! Join our Land Stewardship Manger, Alex, for a hands-on workshop all about planting garlic using organic practices. He'll share practical techniques for selecting seed garlic, preparing soil, spacing, and timing your planting for the best yields. Whether you're a home gardener or an aspiring grower, you'll gain the knowledge and confidence to plant garlic successfully and set the stage for a healthy, abundant harvest. Each participant will also leave with seed garlic from the EJC gardens to start your own plantings at home!

For participants ages 12 & up (children under 18 must attend with a participating adult).

*All participants should come dressed for the weather and garden work as much of this workshop will be outdoors in the gardens!
